Picklepoint is incredibly convenient for those living in TTDI, Bandar Utama, Penchala, and even Mutiara Damansara. Boasting 5 outdoor and 5 indoor courts, we've had the opportunity to play there several times.
Unfortunately, the experience has been a mixed bag. On a good day with pleasant weather and an indoor court in good condition, you can have an enjoyable game. However, the layout of some courts, particularly those near the stairs leading to the outdoor area, can be problematic. The constant movement of players and staff on the stairs becomes a significant distraction, and the positioning of the stairs can feel unsafe when moving backward to return a deep shot or serve.
The outdoor courts are unusable during rain and for hours afterward, as water tends to pool, leaving them wet and slippery. This can be a significant drawback, especially during Malaysia’s frequent rainy spells.
On the positive side, the cleaning crew is attentive and does its best to keep the courts playable. It’s also great to see that the management is taking steps to improve the facilities, recently replacing temporary nets with permanent ones—a welcome upgrade since the courts' launch.
As for the court surfaces, they’re decent but already showing signs of wear, with some cracking and peeling evident. Hopefully, these issues will be addressed in the near future to enhance the overall experience for players.
